Greater Boston Area
Have you checked out Mercy Tavern? Located on Derby Street, the Tavern is a fun, funky spot serving a full range of comfort food, such as burgers, onion soup, and fried chicken. In a cozy atmosphere, guests can enjoy everything from hearty classics like Spaghetti and Meatballs to their creative New England inspired pork chop.
Fiorella’s arrived in Concord this past October, joining an existing location in Newton. The new restaurant, located at 24 Walden St. (the former Bondir space), serves the familiar menu of scrumptious Italian dishes. Menu highlights include the artichoke flatbread, lasagna, seafood fettuccine, and chicken parmesan.
Visit Stone's Public House, where a painting of Captain John Stone, the builder and businessman behind the restaurant, watches over diners as they dine. In the time-honored tradition of New England and the old country of Ireland, the Public House invites you in for a pint, a great conversation and, of course, some of the finest cuisine Metrowest has to offer. Enjoy ample portions of Shepherd's Pie, mussels, or risotto.
“The flavors of Mexico meet the heartbeat of Southern California” at Bueno Malo, which opened this year in Andover. Mike Reidy and Franco Lozano III teamed up for the restaurant, which has a full bar and serves tacos and burritos stuffed with steak, grilled chicken, shrimp, fish, bean and cheese, and even tater tots. For dinner, there are wings, taquitos, ceviche, nachos, and street corn.
For authentic American Italian cuisine, check out Cafe Bella. Bring your appetite, start with one of their delicious appetizers, and end the evening with a cappuccino or dessert. Located in a shopping strip, diners may be surprised to find that Caffe Bella is a small, intimate restaurant that provides the perfect offerings for friends, family or a business meal. Friendly service, nice ambience, and an excellent wine list. (Word on the street is that the meatballs, lobster ravioli, and angel hair pasta with veggies are divine!)
Greater Worcester Area
For perfectly steamed, fresh tender lobster, with melted butter on the side, head to S S Lobster. It's a no frills "seafood shack" with generous servings and high quality clams, haddock, scallops, and shrimp.
Greater Providence Area
Founded in 1997, East Side Pocket is a fixture in the heart of busy Thayer Street in Providence. The restaurant serves great Middle Eastern food such as Falafel, gyros, wraps, baklava, grape leaves, salads, hummus, and tzatziki. Lines move quickly at lunch and dinner hours, and the portions and quality are well worth the short wait.
Greater Hartford Area
If you're craving a delicious burger, Artisanal Burger Company is your place! Try their spectacular ramen burger, poutine, the colossal pretzel, or the rise and shine burger made with a delicious waffle bun.
Since 1980, LuAnn’s Bakery & Cafe has been serving up homemade treats & specialties made from the highest quality ingredients: farm fresh eggs, butter, milk and locally grown fruits and vegetables. The quaint eatery offers pastries and pies, as well as entree items including baked french toast, quiche, and paninis. Luann's refuses to use any chemical preservatives in their products.
It may be an obvious choice, but Rein's Deli in Vernon belongs on this list. Indulge yourself with homemade soups, mounds of savory hot pastrami and corned beef on rye, hand-cut lox layered on cream cheese laden bagels, crisp potato pancakes, knishes, delectable cheese blintzes and creamy hand made cheesecake from New York. And that's just a sampling of Rein's Deli's enormous menu! Don't leave without taking a peek in their display case filled with the most heavenly homemade desserts.
Greater New Haven Area
A New Haven tradition since 1997, Zinc offers an innovative, locally sourced and globally driven menu. Enjoy a cranberry cocktail and mouth-watering appetizer of pickled beets, then a main course of grilled chicken with red potatoes or crispy sea bass with tender flaky fish in middle, and a side of delicious sliced Brussels sprouts. For dessert, top it off with a chocolate and banana mousse.
Greater Litchfield Area
@ the Corner is a casual bar and restaurant located in Thomaston, CT. Select from their menu of soups, salads and sandwiches, along with an impressive list of over 42 bottle beers, 16 taps, and 30 whiskey/bourbons. Happy hour is everyday from 4-7. Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11-3, with bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary's for only $11.82!
